Description
When visiting Thuya Gardens in Northeast Harbor Maine, I love looking deep inside the many layers of flowers growing, because in there is a hidden garden in which the butterflies drink up the sweet nectar of the many flowers. This painted lady was taking a much needed rest and drink from the coneflower, also known as echinacea. Butterflies love coneflowers and flock to them in droves! I have many cone flowers in my garden and I also have many butterflies visit each season! They are very hardy and practically impossible to ruin. I have already started planning my summer garden and plan to have many coneflowers growing in and around my garden.
