Every year we travel to Acadia at least once in the winter. This year we went up on December 30th to ring in the New Year in proper fashion. Visiting Acadia in the winter is magnificent mainly because we have most of the park to ourselves without having to share it with crowds of people. The winter also allows us to see the topography of the ground and mountains because the trees are naked and our view is unencumbered. Acadia is calling my name and I must return to this place soon or I will seriously lose my mind! I know that there are lots of my friends who feel the same way!
