Description
While walking the private property in Acadia National Park, we came upon our favorite bridge. This bridge is massive and it has so many stones putting it together. In the archway there are so many cobblestones tucked in so tight. It is just amazing. The bridges in Acadia National Park were build and funded by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., between 1913 and 1940. They connect the carriage roads which were designed for bikers, hikers and equestrian riders. We see many horses along the private property because this is the only section of carriage roads that does not allow bikers making it less stressful for the horses and their riders. I try every summer to visit each bridge and to explore each Carriage Road whether by bike or on foot.
