Description
This is the best bridge!!! When we walk around Jordan Pond, we always look forward to seeing this bridge because it means that we are just about half way around the lake. Most people first experience Jordan Pond because of the famous Jordan Pond House and their famous popovers! To be honest, we haven't eaten at Jordan Pond House in years, but we do walk the path many, many times while we are on Mount Desert Island. Each summer, there is a family of loons that raise their family on the lake. It's amazing to hear them calling to each other and to see their little babies is so exciting!! I love the gloomy mood of this photo. The fog was rolling in all around the pond and the crowds were very light today! Walking around Jordan Pond on a foggy and cloudy day is the best! The spider webs were bristling with dew drops and the air smelled so fresh!!!
