Description
"Two Bush Lighthouse was built in 1897, this light marks a well-trafficked sea lane to Penobscot Bay. It was automated in 1964. Six years later, the Coast Guard allowed U.S. Army Special Forces to blow up the keeper's house as part of a demolition exercise. The square light tower remains, and is active. It is best seen by boat or plane." (https://visitmaine.com/things-to-do/lighthouses-sightseeing/two-bush-island)
We were sailing from Tenants Harbor to Pulpit Harbor on the northerly side of North Haven Island. There are so many amazing things to see on the coast of Maine and we are blessed to see them from our sailboat Dancing Again. There are so many lighthouses like Two Bush Lighthouse keeping mariners as safe as can be during a storm or a dense fogbank. Thankfully, we had the most perfect day with great winds to carry up the Maine coast to our final destination.
