Description
It's the type of snowstorm you actually look forward to! The snow was wet enough to stick to the trees and the sun was up high in the sky to illuminate all the clean, white snow. I love this balsam tree that stands in the middle of our woods. She gets enough sun to thrive in the summer and in the winter. Her boughs are strong enough to weather the heavy snow that comes at this time of year. The snow is wet and heavy and she carries the snow with strength and determination. This is a photograph, but I have edited it in Topaz Studios to give it a painterly look. It's great fun to create something that deviates from the boundaries of my camera.
