In the heart of Salem, is the Salem Commons. There are so many things for people to do in the Salem Commons. There is a delightful playground and plenty of space for dogs and children to run around and burn off some Christmas energy. While visiting the commons, I was drawn to the Christmas Tree protected by a gazebo. While exploring the tree, I discovered this lovely maple leaf resting comfortably on the luscious green boughs. I am not sure if it was placed there by an admirer of the tree, or if the leaf floated there because of a gentle breeze. In any case, it was just the sweetest image that I have seen in a long while. It was so adorable sitting there in and among the golden Christmas ornaments. I would far prefer to have a Christmas tree decorated with lovely golden maple leaves than a man made ornaments.
