Description
As a child I would always struggle to find the right balance in my life and day to day activities. As a young adult, I always felt that I had to please everyone and be available to everyone when they needed me. Then after I was a parent, I was beholden to everyone, but mainly my children. This is when I learned to find the right balance. I learned that saying no was okay and that there would be storms and unexpected jolts, but because I had found my balance, I was able to weather the storms.
These beautiful balanced rocks reminded me of what life could be like, but that I would be okay and most likely thrive if I had the right balance for my life. The crashing waves coming up over the shore tried their hardest to ruin the balance of these stones. But, when I left that beach, the stones were still standing.
This photograph was taken on my favorite island: Mount Desert Island. The beach is going to remain nameless because I just want to keep the location to myself for a little bit longer.
