Description
Autumn is actually one of my favorite times of year. The leaves all change colors here in Maine and the treetops light up with the most enchanting colors. We have a lot of sugar maples on our property. These trees give us the most amazing Maine Maple Syrup in March. But, theses leaves are what remains of them from this autumn. It's a late changing tree. Only a few weeks ago were these leaves a bright green. Most of the sugar maples had already lost their leaves while this one was still green. Now the leaves are yellow and just starting to fall off the branches. I love the bright yellow contrasting with the already brown leaves of the oak, other sugar maples and the ash leaves. Soon, the snow will fall, covering these leaves with a thick blanket of white. Love living in Maine because we get all the best seasons. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families. Enjoy the last of the autumn foliage!
