Description
I am always attracted to the smaller pieces of our Maine beaches. I love mussel shells and the hitch hikers that have taken shelter on their exterior. This mussel shell has been sharing it's home with some very prominent barnacles. The shell has washed up on shore and was most likely the dinner for a very hungry seagull or crab. I love the natural scenery here with the sea grass, sand and pits of debris here and there. We were visiting Scarborough Beach in mid September. The water was wild and crazy because there was a hurricane off the coast. All sorts of sea treasures were being brought up to the sandy beach. It was really quite a magnificent day!
