Walking around the Witch Hole Pond from the Duck Brook Road Bridge in the evening is wonderful.There are very few people out this time of day and you really believe that Acadia is here just for you! This lovely pond is home to many Beavers, Herons and many other types of wildlife. I have taken this photograph and changed it into an oil painting! I love the broad brush strokes. They add some texture that resembles wind blowing the leaves and landscape around. It gives the water some ripples and creates an energy in the photo that to me is exciting and just a little unique.
