Artist's Description
The Christina Marie is a lobster boat moored on Madeleine Point in Yarmouth Maine. Madeleine Point is a very special place to Yarmouth. It is a place where people come together to enjoy the ocean. Lots of people moor their boats there; lobstermen and casual boaters as well! This photo was taken in early May 2020 before most of the boats were in the water. I am really enjoying the leading lines in the photo, intersected by the lobster trap and mooring. I love how early in the year I captured this image. This is the life of a lobsterman. They are launching their boats earlier than everyone else and take their boats out last! It's lovely to see the the working man's boats along with the yachts and motor boats. But hands down my favorite type of boat is actually the lobsterman's boat.
