Artist's Description
In Somesville Maine, there is a small cemetery called the Brookside Cemetery. This wonderful brook travels down from the Somes Pond, named after Abraham Somes who established the town in 1761. Somesville Stream empties into Somes Sound, which is also named for Abraham Somes. This small town offers a quaintness second to none. It truly is Heaven on Earth. Somesville is also the first established town on Mount Desert Island.
