Artist's Description
I love my hydrangeas!! They start to bloom in mid August and last for about two and a half months. I took this photograph at the end of October when the flowers were turning their robust pink! Oooo they are luscious!! I have one dear friend who comes by to pick them because they were her wedding flowers. I have changed this photograph into an oil painting on Photoshop. I love being creative and experimenting with different tools on Photoshop and Lightroom.
These hydrangeas were planted over one hundred years ago by my great grandmother Helen Genevieve McKearney Ward. I have photographs of my grandmother and my mother beside these incredibly beautiful flowers. They have withstood the test of time. It's really no wonder why I love them so much!!

Acadia National Park is New...
