It's winter now and gives me some time to look at older photographs from the summer. Looking at this photo of Mackerel Cove on Bailey Island Maine brings back so many memories! I loved this summer day and look forward to feeling the warm summer sun on my face in a few months time. The dinghy and the dory are waiting for their owners to come back and retrieve them from the overgrown grass and weeds surrounding them. The lobster traps are clean and waiting to be put to good use capturing lobsters to be sold at the lobster pound just up the way. Summer is starting and soon this beach will be flocking with local people, photographers like myself and many memories will be made by each visitor to this quintessential Maine Coast.
