It has always been my premise that we do not need to travel far to see the real beauty in our lives. For example, I just captured this magical shot in my front yard. I grew these lupines from seeds. My favorite, or one of them anyway, is The Lupine Lady by Barbara Cooney. In the story, Alice, has to make the world more beautiful. As a child she does not yet know how to make the world more beautiful. But when she grows up and lives in her house beside the sea, she decides to plant lupines. It is a charming children's story, but also a good reminder to us as adults, to make the world more beautiful!

My favorite part of taking photos is sharing them with people so they might visit places from afar even if they can't physically be there.
