Otter Creek is a small village on Mount Desert Island. There is a small boat landing just in the far left corner of this tidal inlet. We were driving around the Park Loop Road at sunset taking in all the beauty that you can find in Acadia National Park. We stopped at the Otter Creek Bridge and the sun was just setting behind Cadillac Mountain. It was truly the most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen and would feel so lucky to see one like this again this summer. Acadia is magical, but I find it more magical at this time of day when most of the tourists have returned to their hotels or are on the search for supper in one of the many towns on Mount Desert Island. They are happy, but I guarantee, that my family and I were much more content to observe this magnificent sunset with all these colors. The best time to drive the Park Loop Road is after five o'clock in the afternoon. Trust me!
