Macworth Island in Falmouth Maine is a wonderful place to spend any day, but I especially love this island on foggy days when the sun cannot penetrate through. Believe it or not, the fog was so think that I couldn't even see the Portland skyline, which on a sunny day, would be visible in this photograph. The contrast between the blueish fog and the orange seaweed creates a lovely, moody scene! The white aura in the sky is in fact the sun trying desperately to get through. Eventually, it did penetrate the fog, and the afternoon was sunny and very enjoyable.
