The Chimney Pond Trail Baxter State Park is about three miles long. It's a wonderful trail leading you to Chimney Pond. Chimney Pond is a common place to sleep overnight if you are going to summit Katahdin the next day. My son and I hiked up Chimney Pond Trail just after his graduation from high school. It was a wonderful adventure and I look back fondly at these photographs. Hard to believe it's been almost two years since this trip. I really hope we can make it up there again someday!
