I love low light...or in this case, no light photography. We were visiting the Coastal Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Maine. When I saw this simple tree decorated in purple lights with the slight blue reflection in the water beneath, I was immediately drawn to it. It is so simple...all alone with nothing to crowd it. The artist who chose purple for this tree, chose wisely. I also love how the image shows nothing else! It was all so sublimely perfect...a royal subject to be taken in and worshiped. The purple lights up against the black background is so mysterious and joyous at the same time. Happy New Year and may 2019 be a wonderful year for you all. Slainte!

My favorite part of taking photos is sharing them with people so they might visit places from afar even if they can't physically be there.
