Artist's Description
Acadia lives in my soul. This is the place that makes me so happy to be alive. Rushing up to Mount Desert Island on the Friday before Columbus Day weekend, we were determined to make sunset on Sand Beach. Well, we made it just in the nick of time. The sun had set behind Otter Cliffs and the moon was rising in the sky. The golden tones with the pink and purple sky were intoxicating. It was an uncharacteristically warm night, and I was able to take my shoes off and feel the soft sand in between my toes. I could have stayed there all night, but our bellies were grumbling for a yummy dinner in Bar Harbor. A trip to this amazing beach was the beginning of a wonderful weekend!
