At first I was slightly disappointed that it was raining when I arrived in Boston for my brief but spectacular day trip to Boston. But soon, I realized that the rain adds a nice touch to the city. Walking around the Boston Common in the rain was delightful. I was so happy to see the swans swimming around the pond enjoying the rain. I particularly love this photo of them because of the mothers and their two small children looking at the graceful swans. The park was virtually deserted and the children had an unparalleled view of their elegance. I don't think that the swans would have been swimming if it hadn't been raining. Thank goodness my camera is water sealed, otherwise I don't think I would have taken the chance to shoot out in the rain. Just love all the detail of this photograph. The rain drops and splash of the rain on the pond is visible, as is the details of the trees and reflections in the pond. I love Boston and would highly recommend going again in the rain!
