Description
This is a view to Old Leanach Cottage on Culloden Moor battlefield in Culloden Scotland. Old Leanach Cottage Culloden Moor is the last remaining cottage on Culloden Moor. This cottage was built approximately at the beginning of the 18th century. It is a single story thatch-roofed cottage and is in fine condition. I hadn't arrived to the cottage yet, but saw the backside and the roof from the middle of the Culloden Moor. While walking this wide open expanse, the wind gradually picked up and blew ferociously. I felt the anger and sadness from the Highlanders Ghosts. It was an incredible feeling. The history and the energy of this battlefield is palpable. Culloden Moor is sacred ground for the Scottish People. They leave flowers on the memorial and stones on the Clan's Stones marking where many of the Clansmen are buried. I could have stayed there all day observing and walking the grounds. Someday, I will go back and walk the entire battlefield. Hands down, this was the most monumental experience while on my trip to Scotland.
