Description
While biking along the Carriage Roads inside Acadia National Park, I discovered this lovely, simply meandering stream coming down from Cadillac Mountain. It is so simple and lovely. Water always finds a way to make its way off the mountain after a rain storm. There was not much rain this summer on Mount Desert Island, so when it did rain, we always cheered. That is not the normal reaction that campers might display, but everything was just so dusty and the plants and vegetation were having a difficult time growing without the rain. The frogs, deer, and beavers and other animals on MDI were in need of rain water. The water sources were in okay shape, but even we could tell that their banks were a lot further away than they have been in previous years. It was a welcomed rain for all concerned.
