Hands down this is one of my favorite shots! I love it because I was able to get the suns rays without any filter. No, I did not look directly at the sun while shooting this shot! I promise. I value my eyesight because I kinda need my eyes to do what I do with my camera! This shot was taken on the the landing going down to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse! It was a freezing cold New Years Day in 2017. We take an annual trip to Mount Desert Island every New Years Day. Except this year it was too cold and was too dangerous to make the trek north. So here I am processing last years New Years Day photographs and pretending that we went up! Love this place and keep it tucked away inside my soul until I return!
