Description
I always see photographs of the Old State House on State Street in Boston without people. So rather than trying to take the image without cars, people and activity, I embraced the people, cars, signs and general buzz of the city streets. I especially love the woman with the Patriot's hat on carrying her trash across the street. There are all types of people on this street corner. I felt especially sorry for the gentleman in the wheel chair panhandling for some donations. The human plight is never far from view in every city and town in this country. I have overlaid a slight rusty brick texture to this photograph. It gives the city street scene a rawness that I definitely felt while walking the Boston streets in the rain. I love Boston and can't wait to come back to my favorite city.
