Description
The Stanley Brook Bridge welcomes visitors along the Park Loop Road coming into Acadia National Park via the Seal Harbor entrance. It is the most beautiful bridge. Built in 1933 by John D. Rockefeller, it was his last bridge built in Acadia National Park. I really recommend taking the Carriage Roads from either the Jordan Pond House or from Carriages of Acadia. It's a short and enjoyable stroll. We actually walked over from Little Long Pond just past Seal Harbor on Route Three. The Carriages of Acadia also have a magnificent two hour carriage ride called Rockefeller's Bridges. You will learn so much about this and other bridges on the tour. I don't recommend parking along the Park Loop Road to see this magnificent bridge. There is limited space on the road and your car will harm the beautiful natural environment.
