Description
These shells truly were found in this arrangement on Popham Beach in Phippsburg Maine. I did not arrange them this way, which makes this photograph so special. I love how they are scattered away from each other. This is where the ocean put them and this is how I left them. When my children were small, we would collect these types of shells and decorate them with glue, glitter and sequins. I still have all of those shells and bring them out at Christmas time. We enjoy them year after year. I certainly hope another child had fun collecting these shells on their beach adventure. But in the mean time, I am enjoying them just like this!

Great shot Liz! The composition definitely takes your eye through the image. ...I have had a clam shell on my bureau for roughly 30 years now, and at the end of each day I dump my change and keys into it....

Thank you so much Dear Mike! Clam shells are fantastic! We make votive holders with them. They are decorated with small periwinkles or sea glass.

Lovely minimalism! Has an easy, relaxed mood-- perfect art for lobbies or waiting rooms if you want to reduce irritation levels.
