Oh I would gladly have taken this room with a view of the Great Loch Ness....if there had been a roof over my heid (This is Scottish for head.)! Looking out this very unique rectangular window overlooking Loch Ness was so cool! I love castles and but I really love Scottish Castles the best! Urquhart Castle is in ruins now, but I really could imagine what it was like to live there! The views of Loch Ness were amazing. We could see for miles down each direction of the loch. The walls of Urquhart Castle are at least two feet thick in some spaces. It is a dense and stunning castle! I highly recommend visiting the ruins if you have the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. And no......I didn't see Nessie! But not from a lack of looking.
