Description
This year is the first time I planted sunflowers. I was so excited to see them grow and ripen into tall, majestic flowers. In July, the deer came and ate all the buds off the flowers. I was so unhappy, but wonders never cease! The plant started growing again and now I have several late blooming sunflowers! I am one happy gardener. Next year, they will be planted closer to my home, rather than next to my horses barn. Perhaps the deer will not be so brave as to munch on then if they are closer to my house!

What a gorgeous image, so full of wonderful details, Elizabeth. Good luck with the deer, they eat everything in sight around these parts. Love this image. f/l
