I was recently diagnosed with early stage cataracts. I knew that it was a possibility because my dad had them when he was in his 50's. So when the diagnosis was given, I was fully prepared to have surgery. Sight is one of the five senses that we use everyday. Less then one hundred years ago, I would have gone blind. As a matter of fact, I was legally blind in my right eye. But I shoot my camera with my left eye. I guess this is common. In any case, I have had the surgery just last week and I could see really well the same day! So exciting. Today was the first day that I could go outside and take photographs without the sun blinding me...my pupils were really dilated. I am so grateful that I have this amazing garden in my back yard. I can't travel anywhere because of Covid-19, but I have been blessed with a wonderful back yard with glorious flowers to enjoy. These are Foxgloves! My favorite part of taking photos is sharing them with people so they might visit places from afar even if they can't physically be there.
