Description
So the last time I was visiting Otter Cliffs, the snow was falling and the landscape was raw and unforgiving for anyone taking a risk. On this trip, the landscape was still raw, but not quite as dangerous as in one of my previous photographs of this iconic landmark in Acadia National Park. My son and husband scaled this cliff with a local rock climbing specialist. No thank you says I to this adventure. There are some people on the right side of this photo with their heads together. I always wonder what people are talking about and observing while they visit Acadia National Park. We were walking back to our car along the Park Loop Road from our hike up Gorham Mountain and Beehive Mountain. It was a glorious winter day in Acadia. And best of all, we practically had the park to ourselves because it's the off season on Mount Desert Campground. We were able to enjoy all of our favorite places without much crowding, which is important during the pandemic. Now as I sit in my living room, editing these photos, I remember with fondness the trip to my favorite place on earth.
