Visiting Scotland has always been a dream of mine. Well, finally in October of 218, I made the trip across the pond to visit this magnificent country. The people are so friendly and the history is amazing. This is Midhope Castle, which isn't too far from Edinburgh. It is also the famous filming location of Outlander, the wonderful novel series written by Diana Gabaldon. I have read all the books numerous times and have watched all the episodes of the film too. Visiting this location was fantastic. We had the castle all to ourselves. You can't go inside, but seeing it on the outside is thrilling. I chose to edit this photograph in black and white to give it an slightly aged and dated look. So, if you are not familiar with Outlander, I highly recommend that you read the books first and then watch the show. You will be hooked in no time. Slainte.
