Portland Maine has many hidden wharves and places the tourists usually do not visit. They really should take in all the sights that Portland Maine has to offer. The Old Port is home to many fancy and upscale shops, restaurants and hotels. But if you want to experience the character of Portland Maine, sneak down one of the many wharves and you will see how the locals live and make their daily wadge. They work hard and we as the consumers of their harvest need to make ourselves aware of their work environment.
