Artist's Description
The family and I were at the L.L. Bean 4th of July concert in Freeport Maine. It was a beautiful night. After the concert, we were treated to a short, but very pleasant fireworks show. I appreciated how short it was and actually how quiet it was because deep in my core, I am anti-fireworks because of how much they scare animals.
This particular photo was a bit of a surprise to me when I brought it home to process. If you look very carefully, you will see the outline of a child's face looking out at you. She is located in the upper right side with the fireworks surrounding her. She also has red hair and a heart shaped nose. This just blew my mind. WOW! I can clearly see her black eyes, closed mouth and chin. She looks very sad and forlorn. This is why I love photography. Sometimes we find things in our photos that we never imagined were there. I hope this little angle looking down at us finds some peace, because she definitely doesn't look very peaceful or happy to me.
About Elizabeth Dow
Thank you so much for visiting my Fine Art America page. Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed taking photos. My favorite part of taking photos is sharing them with people so they might visit places from afar even if they can't physically be there. As a child, I would use my parents camera to take photos that reflected my passions, which are flowers, horses, ocean, and snow storms. Here in Maine, we are fortunate to have an abundance of places and a vast array of weather to take many interesting photographs. Many of my photos are taken in and around Acadia National Park. Acadia National Park is New...
