I am honestly not a fan of ice storms. They are so dangerous and pose lots of risks. In this ice storm, we actually lost power for a bit. However, the day after an ice storm when the sun is out, it creates a mythological paradise. The ice sticks to branches, trees, leaves and the whole neighborhood is glistening. The sun was shining and the ice was starting to melt in places leaving mini icicles all along the branches. I love this photo because you can see the orange leaves still hanging on behind this shrubbery. The pine trees and blue sky complete the view through the ice. It kind of reminds me of a Jackson Pollock painting. Nature is amazing!!! With so much danger, comes so much beauty.
