Description
The Historic Life Saving Station on Little Cranberry Island is the predecessor to the U.S. Coast Guard. The Station, now a residence, sits on the southeast point of Little Cranberry Island . Little Cranberry, also know as Islesford, is a small island off the coast from Mount Desert Island. You must take a local ferry to the island where you can bike, enjoy a picnic and just plain old relax. We were fortunate to see this historic building while on a cruise of Frenchman's Bay.
