Description
Once again, the Royal River in Yarmouth Maine has given me a gift. This amazing Grey Heron was perched on some large rocks in the middle of some ferocious white water in the Royal River. My husband and I were amazed at the sight. He was beautiful and fearless. What a sight to behold! This photograph was taken on October 19, 2014 while my husband, our son and our golden retriever Genevieve walked down the Royal River walk way in Yarmouth Maine.

Hey Liz! I pinned and tweeted this yesterday but it seems I didn't enter my comment. This is a terrific capture. The turbulent water makes a perfect background for the still bird.
