Description
Oh what a day to be out on the water!! It was gorgeous! We were sailing our boat over to Harpswell to watch the Blue Angels do their tricks in the air! On the way, I naturally had my camera out and ready! This is Little John Island off the coast of Yarmouth Maine. It is actually part of Yarmouth Maine. You can get there by bridge, but it's so much more of an adventure when you sail past the quintessential Maine island. There is a lovely community and several of my very best friends live on this island. There is a lovely land preserve on the north west area of the island. There are twenty three acres with trails of quiet property giving the explorers wonderful views of the rocky coast of Casco Bay and views of the neighboring Chebeague Island. You can also see the wonderful Chebeague Island Inn from Little John Island. There is a ferry on Little John ready and waiting to take you over to Chebeague for a wonderful dinner at the Chebeague Island Inn!
