Ooo I love Alliums, but I have never seen one that has gone by. I decided to take a chance on a macro shot of the allium seeds. The seeds stick out at the end of the long, spiky petals that have withered away to resemble sharp needles. As the flower passes from one phase to another, the seeds will fall to the ground, sowing themselves for next years beauty!! This beautiful flower was growing at Thula Gardens in Northeast Harbor Maine!
