Description
One year just out side my back door, a vine started to grow. I am not one to complain when something pretty just miraculously starts growing. I like to give nature a chance and see what it turns out to be. Over the last two years, the vine has grown, giving me some nice privacy and something pretty to look at. Now it seems that I have a naturally growing American Bittersweet Vine growing right next to my back door! Ironically, I have always wanted one and have intended many a time to stop and cut the wild bittersweet to decorate my table as my grandmother did when I was just a small child. But, now all I have to do is step outside and snip here and snip there. I think that it's a small miracle that I now have my own bittersweet plant. Life certainly is mysterious!
Post script: These berries are still ripening. When the yellow peal falls off or opens, there will be a dark red berry underneath!
